  This place was absolutely awful. It was almost as if they were purposely trying to make you as miserable as possible. You would think that when you are detoxing off some hard drugs, they would want you to have a comfy bed, because you are going to be in it for awhile, but no, they don't care about that. The bedding they use is the same prisons use. They gave me one pillow that wasn't even 2 inches thick. My cat would have found in uncomfortable to sleep on. The sheets are so thin and crappy, they do not stay in place, so you end up sleeping on the disgusting vinyl that wraps the mattress (which also sucks). Every single person I roomed with snored ridiculously loud the ENTIRE night. I had earplugs in and it still was that bad. The food was God awful for the most part, and you were forbidden from having any food at all, even snacks, outside the cafeteria. I tried to bring in a little book of sudoku puzzles to give me something to do, keep my mind occupied during downtime, but nope, HUGE violation! The only reading material you can bring in has to be faith or recovery oriented, which I don't know if you know this or not, most of those types are beyond boring. Lets talk about the meds they provide. On the second night I was there, I asked for something to help me sleep, because I already knew I was going to be up tossing and turning all night. I asked for Valium because that's what others were given with the same problems as me. But the doctor told me "no, we are trying to ween you off of the Valium". I told him "this is only my second night here, I haven't even been weened ON Valium yet to be weened off of it, I'm never going to get to sleep". He flat out refused to give it to me and just said "don't think like that, you'll fall asleep if you try". Are you kidding me? And then to top it off, the next morning (by the way I was right, no sleep) when it came time to take the meds, a different nurse DID give me some Valium (I didn't asl for it in the morning)! Why would you refuse to give it to me at night but then give it to me in the morning? It makes no sense. But again, zero f*#k's given by the staff. The bathroom that I had to share with 5 other guys only had one toilet, with a broken door. The TV was only allowed to be on for an hour in the morning, and an hour in the evening, the 12 hours in between? Nope! Some might read this and think I'm just a spoiled brat, I assure you I am not spoiled by any means, BUT, I do expect some common comforts when you voluntarily decide to go into rehab. This place was the bottom of the pit, do not go here.
