  I had PRK surgery over a month ago at TLC Rockville. From the initial consultation to my most recent appointment, everything was smooth and enjoyable. I’ve had seven appointments now (pre-ops, surgery, and post-ops), and the staff has always been professional and very nice.
  
  The surgery itself was much easier than I thought it would be—I’m sure the anti-anxiety pill they give you, and the surgical staff’s uplifting moods helped. Dr. Holzman, the surgeon, talks you through everything he’s doing and puts you at ease…while he uses the laser to perfect your vision.
  
  I went to one other company for a consultation before choosing TLC; TLC was a bit more expensive than the other option, and SO worth the extra cost. The other option seemed to treat this like a manicure while TLC treated this like a surgery, which it is.
  
  Prior to PRK, my prescription was -6; all I had to do was follow the guidance of Dr. Smeriglio to a “T” and I ended up seeing without contacts or glasses. PRK takes a few months until you have consistently great vision, but after just one month I’m seeing better than I did with contacts roughly 80% of the time (the other 20% is a little less, but I can still see well enough). Choosing TLC Rockville was definitely the right decision & I highly recommend this location to anyone thinking about laser eye surgery.
